About Costco Tire Service Center

Located at 205 Vineyard Rd, Edison, NJ 08817, Costco Tire Service Center operates as a tire shop serving Edison in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–8:30 pm. Edison is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Edison is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New Jersey's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Unfortunately can't recommend, this particular Costco for tire service. I give them 1 star. The biggest reason is their balancing and mounting process is extremely bad. None of the tires which got balanced by them lasts +6 months. Additionally, in all my cars their balancing introduces vibration at high speed, +75 mph. I feel the machines they use, both for balancing and mounting are (a) Antiquated (b) Not high quality (c) technicians not trained properly. In every case, if I instead balance from an alternative shop - same car/same tires: lasts significant longer. Next twice I heard the same excuse: upon mentioning this they say since its NOT Michelin the tire behaves this way! BFGoodrich/Bridgestone does this. Amazing - I want to record it next time and send to their corporate office this BS. Also: In reality, their prices of tires include the usual install/mount fees. Also lifetime rotation most tire shops do (for free) and balancing technically you don't need for a well mounted and balanced tire lasts +3 yrs unless you hit severely a curb or a really bad pothole.

If you want to compromise your family's safety, I highly recommend the Costco Edison Tire Center. I replaced two tires here, expecting the standard safety protocol (new tires on the rear, old rear tires moved to the front). Instead, they made a critical error. They moved only ONE rear tire to the front and left ONE of the old, worn-out front tires on the vehicle. Driving with completely uneven tread wear on the front axle is a major safety hazard that could have caused a fatal accident on the highway or in the rain. Fortunately, I caught this defect right before a long-distance trip. When I returned to demand a correction, the service and accountability were absolutely atrocious. Upon arrival, a staff member instructed me where to park my car. Following their exact directions, I parked. However, a supervisor came out and immediately started yelling at me, demanding to know why I parked there. Even after I clearly explained that his own staff directed me to park there and detailed the dangerous tire defect they had caused, supervisor showed zero remorse or sense of urgency. Instead of apologizing for the shop's life-threatening mistake and his own rude behavior, he proudly and d

In the last two months I had situation to change tires for both my Lexus and BMW. I will have to say, both visits were genuinely pleasant. The whole team was very professional and helps get the right tires and answered all my question and went beyond just assisting . They honored me a last minute installation appointment without any hesitation. I want to call out Elvis, David, Joseph and Rigoberto.. great service and experience..

Trashed my car after tire installation. The guy & lady in the front were good. The technician who installed my tires trashed my car. Left my glove compartment open. Left items on the passenger seat and passenger floor. Also knocked down my camera/audio infotainment system and did not put it back in place nor apologized.

Subject: Extremely Poor Service Experience at Costco Tire Center Hello, I would like to bring to your attention the extremely poor service I experienced at the Costco Tire Center. I had an appointment scheduled for 7:45 PM on July 24, 2025, and I dropped off my car at 7:27 PM for a tire rotation. Unfortunately, my vehicle was not taken in for service until 9:30 PM. Despite informing the staff multiple times, including both employees and the manager, the only response I received was repeated apologies and assurances that the work would be done. However, there was no clear communication about when the service would actually begin. It is now 10:00 PM, and the work on my car still hasn’t started. I’ve been waiting outside for hours with my purchases, including perishable items like milk and yogurt, which are now at risk of spoiling. This level of service shows a lack of respect for customers’ time. If the tire center is overbooked or understaffed, they should not accept more appointments than they can handle. I’m not sure if Costco management is aware of this situation, but it’s deeply disappointing. I have to be at work early tomorrow morning, and this delay has caused signific
